Equi*star fun

Angelina and I volunteer at a horse ranch for people with disabilities (and no, Nina and I don't ride there... real funny) ; Dustin and Emily ride on Thursdays. Nina and I help groom the horses, tack them up, all that fun stuff that leads up to riding, only we don't ride, the riders do... but we have fun working with the horses, and yes, with the riders usually. Some of the horses there are real stinkers too, so it is work! Last week, we actually had one horse, Muffin, butt up to another horse, Gypsy, and was about to kick with both hind feet, riders mounted and ready to ride, when I sent up a Nehemiah prayer and they backed down! It was interesting! After the horses calmed down, we started to do some "barrel-racing" at a walk, and then at a trot. Muffin decided to win the race by cantering! She was quite the stinker that mnight!! Well, we decided, actually, I decided, to put a few pictures Nina took of us last Thursday.

I had a fun night, that was the first time for these riders to have a go at barrel-racing. They all loved it and had a great time!

Fire in the hole!!!!!!!

Thursday July 3rd we were all doing our chores when all of the sudden Jada comes running into the house yelling that the garage attic was on fire!!! Miss Lauren (she is a lady that comes every day to help with Dustin and Emily) went to look out the window and saw the flames billowing out the attic window! frantically we ran into the garage to get our cats out cause they are in the garage!! our neighbors were over helping us get every one out of the house just in case it started on Fire!! Only Me,Rose,Emily,and Jada were home with Miss Lauren and her to young boys!! My parents had taken Luke out to get shoes. we called 911 right away, then we called my mom and Dad, then our Pastor because he use to be a fire fighter. it took a long time for them to get it out! word spreads fast because, my Aunt Jill was over, my Nana, the Atwaters, and Miss Laurens parents!!finally it was out!! we stayed at the Pawleys for three days until we got our electricity back.

My 15th Birthday

I walked upto the porch from Mom taking me out for pizza and this is what I saw. They had streamers and colorful pictures all over. It was very sweet!

A couple days later, the Pawleys came over for my b-day and had ice-cream with us.

They gave me 15 Tootsie Rolls; Do you think I ate 15 with all my siblings begging? No! But that's okay, I let them have some... Joe and Levi are really the only Tootsie Roll monsters around here.

Well, that was my 15th b-day. We are sceduled to spend a day with the Brocketts soon too, because we get to do something "special" every fifth b-day. I chose to go to the Brocketts, but we still havn't done it. I think we might do it sometime next week.
